MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DALAM PENINGKATAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER

ABSTRAK


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui cara menggunakan boneka Tawaraja dalam bercerita wayang dan (2) mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan boneka Tawaraja dalam menyampaikan cerita wayang dan meningkatkan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian dilakukan di SD Bantul Timur dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas VB pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan ialah penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development. Model ini mengadopsi teori Borg dan Gall. Langkah-langkah penelitian tersebut adalah research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision, operational field testing, final product revision, and dissemination and implementation (Ghufron, 2005: 8). Hasil penelitian ialah dihasilkan artikel ilmiah. Artikel ilmiah tersebut diharapkan mampu memberikan kontribusi terhadap perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan dunia pendidikan. Selain artikel ilmiah, diharapkan juga dihasilkan model suatu media pembelajaran berupa boneka Tawaraja yang efektif untuk diaplikasikan dalam pembelajaran pendidikan karakter kepada peserta didik. Dengan boneka Tawaraja sebagai media pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia diharapkan siswa mengenal karakter pewayangan Mahabharata dengan mudah dan menyenangkan.

ABSTRACT

The research objective were (1) to reveal the manner of use Tawaraja dolls puppet  for puppet story telling and (2) to reveal the effectiveness Tawaraja dolls puppet used for puppet story telling and increasing character education. The research was doing in SD Bantul Timur with subjects were the students fifth grade class B on Indonesian. The method was Research and Development. This model was adopted from Borg and Gall theory. This steps are research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision, operational field testing, final product revision, and dissemination and implementation (Ghufron, 2005: 8). The result is scientific article. That is expected can contribute for developing science and education world. Beside it, that is also expected to get the product of Tawaraja dolls puppet for learning media are effective used for learning character education to students. Using Tawaraja dolls puppet as learning media of Indonesian, expected that students know Mahabharata puppet character easily and enjoy.

Panaliten menika nggadhahi ancas kangge (1) mangertosi caranipun ngginakaken boneka Tawaraja kangge nyariyosaken cariyos ringgit lan (2) mangertosi efektif-ipun panganggening boneka Tawaraja nalika nyariyosaken cariyos ringgit lan ningkataken pendidikan karakter. Panaliten dipunlampahi wonten ing SD Bantul Timur mawi subjek panaliten siswa kelas VB nalika piwucalan Bahasa Indonesia. Metode ingkang dipunginakaken inggih menika panaliten pengembangan utawi Research and Development. Model menika dipun-adopsi saking teorinipun Borg saha Gall. Langkah-langkah panaliten kasebut inggih menika research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision, operational field testing, final product revision, and dissemination and implementation (Ghufron, 2005: 8). Asiling panaliten inggih menika artikel ilmiah. Pangajabipun artikel ilmiah kasebut saged kangge nambahi kontribusi dhumateng rembakaning seserepan lan donyaning pawiyatan. Sasanesipun artikel ilmiah, pangajabipun ugi dipunkasilaken model arupi media pasinaon awujud boneka Tawaraja ingkang efektif dipunginakaken kangge pasinaon pendidikan karakter dhateng peserta didik. Mawi boneka Tawaraja minangka media pasinaon Bahasa Indonesia, dipunkajengaken siswa mangertosi karakter pewayangan Mahabharata kanthi gampil lan ngremenaken.
